Can you detail my rig at a storage lot or campground?

Yes, we work at RV storage lots and campgrounds across the OKC metro all the time, and it is one of the main reasons customers choose a mobile detailer. Just make sure we are allowed on the property and that there is enough room to open the slides and walk the perimeter.

My gelcoat is chalky and faded. Can that be fixed?

In most cases, yes. Chalky white residue is dead, oxidized gelcoat sitting on top of good material, and multi-stage compounding cuts it away to reveal the color underneath. How far we can take it depends on how much gelcoat is left, which is why heavy oxidation always gets an in-person evaluation rather than a phone quote.

Do you need restoration?

Oxidation is not dirt, and no amount of washing will move it. It is a dead layer of gelcoat sitting on top of perfectly good material. If any of these sound like your rig, a wash is not going to fix it:

Chalky white residue on your hand after wiping the sidewall
Colour that reads dull and flat instead of reflective
Black streaks below the roofline that will not wash off
Decals that have faded, yellowed, or started lifting at the edges

The process

A multi-stage cut, not a wax

A glaze or wax will hide oxidation for a few weeks. Restoration removes it.

Stage 01

Heavy rotary compounding

A wool or microfiber cutting pad on a rotary removes the dead, oxidized layer of gelcoat entirely. This is the stage that gets the colour back.

Stage 02

Intermediate polish

A second pass refines the compounding marks left behind by the heavy cut and starts building real depth in the finish.

Stage 03

Finishing polish

A soft foam pad and fine polish clear the last of the haze, leaving clarity and reflection rather than a flat, sanded look.

Stage 04

Optional ceramic lock-in

Bare, freshly polished gelcoat is porous and will oxidize again. A multi-year ceramic seals the work so you are not paying for restoration twice.

Locking the work in with a multi-year ceramic coating is what keeps freshly polished gelcoat from oxidizing straight back.
