Front cap shield

Fifth Wheel Front Cap Ceramic Shield

Tired of chiseling baked-on highway bugs off your front cap? Stop scrubbing.

Why it matters

The nose takes the beating

The front nose of your fifth wheel absorbs roughly 90% of highway abuse, taking direct, high-speed insect strikes, diesel exhaust soot, and intense sun exposure. Left unprotected, bug acids permanently etch the clear coat and dark-pigmented gelcoat quickly fades into dull, chalky oxidation.

Shield just the part that needs it

Our Front Cap Ceramic Shield is the most budget-friendly way to get the high-performance benefits of a ceramic coating without the cost of doing an entire 40-foot rig. By locking in an ultra-slick, rock-hard barrier on just the leading nose, you get permanent UV defense and true self-cleaning power, turning hours of grueling ladder scrubbing into a quick, effortless rinse-down with a microfiber towel.

The process

What's Included

Step 01

Intensive Chemical Decontamination

Dissolves baked-on bugs, road tar, and diesel fallout without abrasive scrub pads.

Step 02

Machine Prep Polish or Heavy Oxidation Removal

Strips away dull chalkiness, corrects gelcoat haze, and restores better than factory depth and gloss.

Step 03

Sterile Solvent Wipe-Down

Completely removes polishing oils to guarantee 100% ceramic chemical bonding.

Step 04

Multi-Year Marine-Grade Ceramic

Hand-applied to painted gelcoat, exterior marker lights, and vinyl graphics. 100% Diamond Shield and PPF safe. Delivers a hydrophobic, self-cleaning shield that cuts future wash times down to minutes.

Machine polish

A dual-action polisher working a black front cap, panel by panel, before anything is laid over the top of it.

Step 02, up close

This is the part that takes the time.

The prep polish is done by hand, panel by panel, with a dual-action polisher. It is the step that decides how the coating turns out: a ceramic can only lock in the gloss that is under it, so the chalky layer has to come off the gelcoat first.

The water test

Water poured over a finished front cap sheets straight off. Nothing beads up, sits, and dries into a spot.

The proof

Water leaves instead of sitting there.

The front cap takes the bugs, the rain and the road film first, and it is the panel that fades first. Once it is coated, water sheets off under its own weight instead of drying on the surface and leaving minerals behind.
